Chiefs’ Travis Kelce lifting Taylor Swift at Coachella was straight out of ‘SNL’ skit

Mondays are no fun, but it’s safe to say Swifties had a great weekend.

Photos and videos were widely shared on social media of superstar singer Taylor Swift and boyfriend Travis Kelce, the Chiefs tight end, at the Coachella music festival.

America’s “It” couple caught sets by the band Bleachers, with singer Jack Antonoff, and Ice Spice. Both are friends and/or musical collaborators with Swift.

Kelce and Swift then went to the Neon Carnival afterparty, according to Yahoo, and that lasted until the early hours of Sunday.

Great attention is paid to what Swift is wearing anywhere she goes, so it’s no surprise that people zeroed in on her attire at Coachella.

One item in particular caught the eye of fans: her cap.

It was a “New Heights” hat, and while Swifties love to look for hidden Easter eggs in all things, this was pretty obvious. Swift was showing her support for Kelce, who is a co-host of the popular podcast, “New Heights.”

Kelce, who is a self-described Adam Sandler fan, wore a “Happy Gilmore” cap. That’s one of Sandler’s most famous roles. Take a look.

The couple also took in a set by Dom Dolla and fans gushed on social media because of the ease with which Kelce picked up Swift.

That may have looked kind of familiar to fans of the late-night TV show, “Saturday Night Live.”

During Kelce’s appearance last year on “Saturday Night Live,” there was a skit involving Heidi Gardner about this very subject. It wasn’t aired during the show, but “SNL” shared it on YouTube. Here is video and Chiefs center Creed Humphrey is also in this skit.
