Chiefs rookie took SI swimsuit model to Worlds of Fun as they spent day in KC
Kansas City Current co-owner Brittany Mahomes was joined last Thursday by hubby Patrick Mahomes at the Sports Illustrated swimsuit bash in New York City.
There was another person with ties to the Chiefs at that party at the Hard Rock Hotel.
Model Alexandra “Xandra” Pohl, who made her debut in the swimsuit issue, had been in Kansas City days before taking part of the festivities in the Big Apple.
Pohl was spotted in Kansas City, checking out some tourist spots, including Worlds of Fun and the Liberty Memorial Tower at the National World War I Museum and Memorial. Pohl took in the sights with Chiefs rookie Louis Rees-Zammit.
A former Welsh rugby star, Rees-Zammit signed with the Chiefs earlier this year, so he was getting a taste of life in Kansas City, too. Pohl lives in Miami where she is a DJ and social-media influencer.
Pohl, 23, is followed by Brittany Mahomes and Rees-Zammit on Instagram where she has 392,000 followers.
Pohl also has 1.2 million TikTok followers, and Sports Illustrated said she is scheduled to play at Lollapalooza in Chicago in August.
“Some common misconceptions I think people have about me is that because of the way I look or the way that I act means that I have an inability to do something,” Pohl told SI. “Especially with DJing, being a female in this industry, it has been a lot to kind of break into it. And coming out of this, I just want people to know (that) I love who I am. I’m gonna keep doing what I’m doing, and I’m confident about it, and I’m passionate about it.”
If Pohl and Rees-Zammit are an item, there could be another celebrity in an Arrowhead Stadium suite this fall. Taylor Swift and Brittany Mahomes are two big stars who are regulars at Chiefs game as they support their significant others.
Zammit-Rees shocked the European sports world by stepping away from rugby. He had been dating Saffron Barker, a YouTube star, but the two broke up earlier this spring. Pohl and her boyfriend split in January.
