Chiefs Reportedly Made Notable Trade Offer To Steelers
The Kansas City Chiefs reportedly made a notable trade offer to the Pittsburgh Steelers earlier this week.
According to NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport, Steelers pass rusher Melvin Ingram wants out of Pittsburgh.
Ingram is reportedly frustrated with his lack of playing time in Pittsburgh. He’s one of several notable players who could be traded ahead of next month’s NFL trade deadline.
“The longtime Chargers veteran landed in Pittsburgh this year and has yet to hit his stride. With inconsistent playing time, teams have begun calling the Steelers about potentially trading for Ingram, and it does appear the Steelers have listened and engaged. Due the balance of just $1.075 million in base salary (the team paid $2.925 million in a signing bonus), Ingram isn’t expensive. The Chiefs have been among those on the hunt around the league for a pass rusher, and they did host Ingram on a visit before he signed,” Rapoport reports.
According to NFL Network reporter Aditi Kinkhabwala, the Chiefs made an offer to the Steelers for Ingram.

The Cardinals could make sense, following the injury to JJ Watt.
Watt is reportedly expected to miss the remainder of the season, though it’s yet to be confirmed by the Cardinals.
The NFL’s trade deadline is set for Nov. 2.
