Chiefs’ 2024 NFL Draft caps include a patch featuring Missouri and Kansas
Forget the Chiefs’ cap space for a moment. Let’s talk about the caps the newest Chiefs players will be wearing during the 2024 NFL Draft in Detroit.
More often than not, the caps for the NFL Draft are met with derision from football fans. Not so this year.
Chiefs fans had a mostly positive attitude about the caps. Here is a look at this year’s version.

What caught the eye of Chiefs fans wasn’t simply the design of the arrowhead on the front of the cap. There is a patch on the side that includes the images of the states of Missouri and Kansas.
Some folks in Missouri take umbrage when someone from outside the area says the Chiefs are from Kansas. Here is a closer look at that patch.

Another touch within that patch is the number 142.2. That was the decibel level at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium in 2014 when the record for the loudest stadium in the world was set.

Here is a bit of what Chiefs fans were saying about the caps, which you can order here. Predictably, there was plenty of discussion about the states.
Thought the same thing!

I'm so sick of this crap from Missouri based Chiefs fans. Y'all seem to not realize how large of a portion of the fan base is in Kansas. Lamar Hunt himself called the Chiefs mid-America's team and specifically referenced Kansas. Approve the sales tax or you're losing the Chiefs https://t.co/vtetduNv0G

An interesting design choice, for sure.

Does interesting mean terrible here? lol

I like how it shows Kansas and Missouri on the side with the 142.2 decibel record! https://t.co/tplQ0Dj6zS

Cutting short the size of Chiefs Kingdom. Where is Nebraska, Iowa, Arkansas, Northern Oklahoma in the patch on the side of the cap.

I actually want this one.

Wish they dropped the yellow emboss down slightly and added a little more red. But I'd buy it

too Raider-y

If you are someone who would disown the Chiefs if they moved to KS, you are not allowed to wear this hat. I don’t make the rules https://t.co/o9a4VHWC5W

Best draft hat in years dawg
