Chick-fil-A to offer new bite-sized breakfast item at some restaurants. Here’s where

Chick-fil-A

Chick-fil-A is looking to bolster its breakfast menu with the arrival of a “new bold and bite-sized option.”

The new Chorizo Cheddar Egg Bites will be available for a limited time starting Monday, Aug. 22 — but only at select restaurants, the national chicken chain announced this week.

Chick-fil-A is testing the entree in a handful of cities including:

  • Miami

  • New Orleans

  • Augusta, Georgia

  • Aiken, South Carolina

  • Norfolk and Portsmouth, Virginia

  • and Columbus, Ohio

It marks the chain’s first new breakfast creation since the Hash Brown Scramble Bowl launched at restaurants nationwide in 2017.

The Chorizo Cheddar Egg Bites are baked in house each morning with “whole eggs, Mexican-style chorizo sausage, and a blend of cheddar and Monterey Jack cheeses,” according to a news release.

Each order comes with four egg bites that customers can pick up in-store, or order online via the Chick-fil-A app, the restaurant said. Delivery options are also available at the participating locations.

If the feedback is positive, officials said the breakfast bites could become a mainstay on Chick-fil-A menus nationwide.

“Our guests are asking for more bite-sized, shareable breakfast options, and we look forward to hearing what they think about our limited-time Chorizo Cheddar Egg Bites test,” Leslie Neslage, director of menu and packaging at Chick-fil-A., said in a statement.
