With Chicago bracing for terrible weather, Buffalo Bills will travel a day early
The theme of Week 16 this NFL season is going to be bad weather. That's not ideal for those still alive in the fantasy football playoffs.
Bad weather is expected to hit multiple games this weekend, and one of the worst weather situations will be in Chicago. The poor Buffalo Bills. They've already had a home game moved to Detroit due to snow and another home game briefly delayed due to fans throwing snowballs, and now they're going to be traveling through miserable conditions just to play the Chicago Bears in frigid cold Saturday afternoon.
The Bills announced they will leave Buffalo on Thursday. Usually, they would travel the day before their game, which is Saturday this week due to Christmas falling on Sunday. But weather conditions changed their plans.
Due to the inclement weather forecast on Friday, the Bills are planning to depart for Chicago on Thursday evening.

The National Weather Service issued a winter storm warning for Chicago, which will be in effect from noon Thursday to Saturday morning. The NWS warned of "occasional white-out conditions" due to 2-to-5 inches of snow and wind gusts as high as 50 mph. The wind chill is expected to be 25 to 35 degrees below zero.
Even if it lets up a bit by kickoff Saturday, those are not fun conditions for a football game. Yahoo Weather says there's a high of 10 degrees forecasted for Saturday, with a low of 2 degrees. And the wind off Lake Michigan will make it feel much worse.
That's not great news for the Bills, who like to pass the ball. Quarterback Josh Allen has a strong arm, but nobody enjoys throwing it when the wind chill is below zero.
There is expected to be brutally cold weather this weekend in Cleveland, Kansas City, Nashville, Baltimore, Pittsburgh and perhaps Foxborough as well. Expect a lot of low-scoring, ugly games.
