Cher Is 40 Years Older Than Her BF, And She Doesn't Care Who Knows It
Cher has had her fair share of romance and heartbreak over the years, and her list of famous lovers is a long and illustrious one. She's perhaps best known for her iconic match with her first husband, Sonny Bono, and later with Gregg Allman.
Now, the pop icon has some really big news in the love department, adding another name to that list. And she's not afraid to address the critics head-on. The 76-year-old dropped several tweets (which have since been deleted) confirming (and defending) her budding relationship with 36-year-old music executive Alexander “AE” Edwards.
“LOVE DOESN'T KNOW MATH, IT SEES ❤️ ❤️,” Cher wrote in a tweet that was captured by The Shade Room and shared on Instagram. She also referenced Sogyal Rinpoche, a Buddhist teacher and author who died in 2019. “Rinpoche told me, 'Some people meet, others recognize,’” she said.
Cher also shared a photo of Alexander, writing his name and a heart emoji next to it. Plus, when someone asked if they were dating, she left a 🥰 emoji in response. Sounds like a tentative yes to me!

Who is Alexander Edwards?
He's a music producer who owns the record label Gloryus, which, by the way, also has a clothing line, according to Hip Hop Hollywood.
As the vice president of artists and repertoire at Def Jam, AE has worked with Tyga, Jay-Z, Frank Ocean, Mariah Carey, Rihanna, and Kanye West, the outlet said. He’s also an artist on Tyga’s label, Last Kings Records, according to People.
He previously dated Amber Rose.
Alexander and actress Amber Rose were a couple for several years and share a 3-year-old son named Slash, according to People. The couple broke up in 2021 after Amber implied that he cheated on her with at least 12 different people. Yikes.
“I'm tired of getting cheated on and being embarrassed behind the scenes,” Amber wrote in her Instagram Stories after the split, per People. “All 12 of y'all bums (the ones that I know of there's probably more) can have him. Alexander later admitted he had cheated on Amber. “I thought, 'S---, I got caught.' I got caught before, you know what I'm saying? And she's just had enough, obviously,” he said in an Instagram Live.

Paris Fashion Week, of course. At least that is what People has reported. That means they've known each other for just a few months at this point, since the event only took place in September... And exact details of how they got together are scarce.

This is a pretty new relationship. Even if they started dating right after they met, that would put Cher and Alexander's 'ship at roughly two months old. The two were spotted holding hands while leaving a Los Angeles restaurant last week, per Us Weekly.

She later said that she’s “not defending” her relationship. “Haters are gonna hate … Doesn't matter that we're happy and not bothering anyone,” she said.
