Cheerios' 2 Fan-Favorite Flavors Are 'Back in Action' This Summer

Cereal fans everywhere are probably rejoicing now that Cheerios has decided to bring back not one but two of its most missed varieties.

If you guessed that fruit-flavored Cheerios are making a grand return this summer, you'd be right.

We have it on good authority that the Fruity Cheerios–an item created nearly two decades ago and discontinued within the last two years or so–as well as a new peach-inspired version—are headed back to stores by popular demand for a limited time.

The Fruity Cheerios flavor is the same one you knew years ago and loved, but in a statement shared with Parade, the brand described the Peach Mango version as bringing "the goodness of the orchard to your cereal bowl! Each 'O' is packed with the taste of ripe peaches and mangoes for the perfect way to start a sunshine-filled day."

Foodie influencer Markie_Devo, who regularly previews new fast food and snack items, was the first to break the news on Instagram. Alongside an image provided by Cheerios' parent company, General Mills, the social media guru celebrated the launch, cheering, "When the OG bae gets an upgrade!!"

"As a proud member of team Cheerios, I’m happy to say Peach Cheerios is returning with added Mango," Markie_Devo continued. "That’s not all.. Fruity Cheerios is back in action, followed by two new Cascadian Farm Mini Cereal varieties in-Cookies ‘n’ Cream and Fruitfuls."

The influencer wasn't the only fan excited by the colorful return and new item reveal, at least not according to the comments.

"Peach mango does sound good," one wrote.

"So happy to see fruity Cheerios back!" another exclaimed.

"The fruity looks great," a third added in part, joking, "They should have used a more creative name like fruit loops... Oh wait."

Both seasonal flavors of Cheerios have already hit some stores, both became available at Walmart beginning in April, but you can also find the Fruity Cheerios at Kroger, Albertsons, ADUSA and Target–grab 'em while you can!
