While the two-bedroom, two-bathroom house is visually appealing based on the photos, one of the mysteries is the origin of its name.

“It got its name when we were sitting around a campfire. We narrowed it down to a couple of names, and we figured ‘Romancing the Stone’—since there aren’t that many stone cabins,” listing agent and owner Maureen Kile told Realtor. “It would play on the movie, and it’s something people would remember.”

The film in question Kile is referring to is the 1984 action movie with the same name starring Michael Douglas and Kathleen Turner.
