Charming house for sale in Arkansas has a ... questionable interior. See for yourself
Sometimes, it’s easy to remember that a paint job in a house can be changed fairly easily. But that doesn’t change someone’s first impression of an interior if the paint color is … well … not ideal.
Like if its shade is akin to a baby’s vomit after their stomach disagrees with that new jar of strained peas.
Which is exactly what some folks were comparing the paint job inside this delightfully charming house for sale in Van Buren, Arkansas, to. At least on one popular website.
The five-bedroom, three-bathroom house — listed for $599,000 — was featured on Drew Curtis’ Fark.com, a composition of bizarre articles about news topics of the day, including politics, entertainment, and real estate.
Though the house has been on the market for a fairly long time (240 as of March 5), it has a great deal of potential inside and outside the 3,510-square-foot residence — it just needs a new paint job.
Unless, of course, you love it.
Features include:
Swimming pool
Covered backyard space
Outdoor kitchen
Five-car garage
Garage studio apartment
Pond
The home also sits on five acres of stunning land.
But all people really saw on Fark was that interior paint job.
“The 70’s called. They’d like their paint back,” one person joked.
“Burn it to the ground…we can begin anew,” someone said.
“I’ll take everything but what’s inside that house,” another noted.
“Looking through those pictures was like biting into a perfectly innocent-looking chocolate only to discover a Brussels sprout filling,” one person said.
“Five acres, a pool, a decent garage, a nice outdoor kitchen,” another observed. “I can work a paint roller.”
“I think when you buy a house you are then allowed to paint the walls,” someone said.
“Well, you could always paint it puke mustard,” one person noted.
Van Buren is on the Arkansas-Oklahoma border.
