Charlotte Tilbury Ended Contract with Bella Hadid in November, No Longer Face of the Brand

Cosmetics giant Charlotte Tilbury ended its partnership with Bella Hadid eight months after announcing the 27-year-old supermodel as the face of the brand, ET has learned.

A source tells ET, "Hadid was released from her contract with Charlotte Tilbury. The model was notified in November and was given the reason of 'force majeure' in her contract."

According to Cornell Law School, force majeure is a provision in a contract that frees both parties from obligation if an extraordinary event directly prevents one or both parties from performing.

The reason for Hadid’s departure from the brand has not been disclosed. ET has reached out to Charlotte Tilbury and Hadid for comment.

The news came as a surprise to many, given the amicable relationship depicted between Hadid and Tilbury in a promotional video released last year.

In the video, Tilbury affectionately addresses Hadid, stating, "Bella, darling! I'm so happy you're here," to which Hadid responds with equal warmth, "Charlotte, darling! I'm so happy to be here with you, I love you."

Following the separation from Charlotte Tilbury, Hadid has set her sights on launching her own cosmetics and wellness venture, named Orebella, slated for a May debut.
