‘A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving’ won’t air on TV this year. Here’s where to stream it

Apple TV+

If you’re part of a household that gathers round and gets into the holiday spirit with the “Peanuts” classics, make sure you don’t miss the Thanksgiving special when it streams for free this weekend.

The holiday special episodes don’t broadcast on network television since Apple TV+ acquired the rights to three of them in 2020. But the streaming service makes each of the specials available to non-subscribers for a few days around the holidays.

“A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving” — which celebrates its 50th anniversary this year — will be available for all to stream Saturday, Nov. 18 and Sunday, Nov. 19, Apple TV+ said in a news release.

A month from now, “A Charlie Brown Christmas” will be available Saturday, Dec. 16 and Sunday, Dec. 17, according to the news release.

Two Peanuts holiday specials released on the streaming service last year are available again this year: “I Want a Dog for Christmas, Charlie Brown” and “Charlie Brown’s Christmas Tales,” as well as other Peanuts holiday classics such as “The Snoopy Show: Happiness is the Gift of Giving.”
