What channel is LSU vs. Stanford softball on today? Time, TV schedule for NCAA Tournament game

LSU softball is back in the super regionals of the NCAA Softball Tournamnet for the first time in three years.

The No. 9 seed Tigers (43-15 overall, 12-12 in SEC play) took down Jackson State and Southern Illinois, twice, in the Baton Rouge Regional this past weekend to advance to the Stanford Super Regional, which LSU will open up on Friday, May 24 at 9 p.m. CT against No. 8 seed Stanford.

Winners of five of their last six, LSU saw a big day at the plate from Taylor Pleasants in the two games against Southern Illinois on Saturday and Sunday, as the Tiger shortstop finished with four RBIs, four runs and two home runs. Karli Petty added two RBIs and two runs on a 2-for-2 day at the plate in Sunday's 9-0 run against SIU.

The Tigers look to make it past the super regionals to advance to the Women's College World Series for the first time since 2017. It is the second time that both LSU and Stanford will face each other in the NCAA Tournament, with the other postseason matchup coming in 2007 when the Tigers won the Stanford Regional. The all-time series between LSU and Stanford is tied at 2-2.

But the task won't be easy for LSU as it will have to take down Stanford pitching phenom NiJaree Canaday, who leads the nation with a 0.52 ERA and 21-4 record inside the circle. Opponents have only scored four or more runs against Canaday once this season, coming earlier in the year against Florida State.
