What channel are Baseball Hall of Fame election results? Time, TV schedule for inductees

The Baseball Hall of Fame is one of the most exclusive clubs in North American sports. Voted on by the BBWAA, a number of factors go into determining whether a player deserves to be enshrined in Cooperstown, and those factors have largely remained stringent (relatively speaking) over the years.

On Tuesday, we will see the newest crop of players get inducted into the hall from MLB, with several big names on the ballot for the first time. Among them are Adrian Beltre, who is all but a shoo-in at time of writing, and Joe Mauer, who has trended in the right direction but is not a sure thing.

One of the biggest questions on the ballot is Todd Helton, who got 72.2% of the vote last year (75% is the threshold). Helton is in his sixth year on the ballot of a maximum 10, and while it feels like it's only a matter of time for the Tennessee alum, it could be a photo finish.

How do players get inducted to the Baseball Hall of Fame?

To be inducted by the BBWAA, players must get a 75% vote from BBWAA Hall of Fame voting members.

Beltre looks primed to become another first-ballot Hall of Famer, joining the likes of David Ortiz (2022), Derek Jeter (2020), Mariano Rivera (unanimous, 2019), Roy Halladay (posthumously, also in 2019) and Ken Griffey Jr. (2016), to name a few.

Mauer looks like he may well end up being a fringe case, but we won't know until all of the ballots are in.

Will players drop off the ballot in 2024?

Gary Sheffield is in his 10th year on the ballot, and will drop off if he doesn't make it in on this go-around. Billy Wagner is in his ninth year, and Manny Ramirez is in his eighth.
