Diamond Baseball Holdings will buy out a majority of the 11-member WooSox ownership group while retaining Ralph Crowley, Larry Lucchino and Jim Skeffington Jr. The official announcement comes less than a month after Lucchino, the WooSox principal owner and chairman, said he was looking to sell the team.

A Worcester business had its license revoked for allegedly selling a stun gun to an undercover officer, a city police officer told the Board of Health Monday. Hedro's Smoke Shop at 319 Grafton St. has a license to sell only tobacco products. The Board of Health voted 3-1 to immediately revoke the license. Interim Chairwoman Frances Anthes cast the dissenting vote. Chareese Allen, Gary Rosen and Leopoldo Negron Cruz voted to revoke. Police officer Patrick Harrington told the board that police visited the shop in October on a warrant stemming from a complaint about the business. That is when the stun gun was allegedly sold to the undercover officer.
