Prime Video on Thursday released a full trailer for I Am: Celine Dion, an upcoming feature-length documentary in which the legendary singer chronicles her battle with stiff person syndrome.

“I’ve been diagnosed with a very rare neurological disorder,” Dion says in the video above. “And I wasn’t ready to say anything before. But I’m ready now.”

Directed by Oscar nominee Irene Taylor (The Final Inch), I Am: Celine Dion “gives us a raw and honest behind-the-scenes look at the iconic superstar’s struggle with a life-altering illness,” according to its logline. “Serving as a love letter to her fans, this inspirational documentary highlights the music that has guided her life while also showcasing the resilience of the human spirit.”

Dion shared in December 2022 that she had been diagnosed with stiff person syndrome, a disorder that causes muscle spasms and progressive muscular rigidity. The documentary’s new trailer reveals Dion’s daily regimen to mitigate her symptoms, but she admits “it’s been a struggle” living with the diagnosis.

I Am: Celine Dion will stream globally on Prime Video beginning Tuesday, June 25. Watch the trailer in full above, then drop a comment with your thoughts.
