Celebrity chef Anne Burrell is engaged to boyfriend she met on Bumble

Anne Burrell is not only a famous foodie, she’s a dating app success story.

The Food Network star has announced her engagement to the longtime boyfriend she met on the Bumble dating app.

“A tiny bit of good news in these crazy times,” the bleach-blond celebrity chef announced Tuesday. “We are engaged!!!”

The photo shows Burrell and Stuart Claxton embracing while showing off her massive diamond ring.

“I am a VERY #luckygirl,” she gushed in the caption.

The 50-year-old “Worst Cooks in America” star has dated the 48-year-old Univision sales marketing executive for two years.

She said she met the love of her life through the dating app Bumble in 2018.

As for the proposal itself, she said everyone in her family was seemingly in on but her. It also helped that they are all sheltering-in-place together in her hometown of Cazenovia, N.Y.

“My mom and Stuart got together and made a plan where he and I were going to have a date night. She set up a beautiful table in her apartment and we just planned a dinner for the two of us,” she told People. “We were having a nice time, and Stuart then starts saying, ‘Oh, this is a good song to put on a playlist for our wedding reception.’ And I’m like, ‘Okay, sure. But why are we talking about that now?’”

“We started talking about family and just how nice it was to be here with everyone, so I sort of started getting weepy already,” she recounted. “Then Stuart pulls a ring out of his pants pocket and I was like, ‘Oh my gosh, I can’t believe this is even happening.'”

The couple aren’t rushing into wedding planning, given the current coronavirus crisis, so they’re just enjoying the moment.

“Everything is so up in the air right now, so we haven’t even really thought about it,” she said. “We’re just basking in the joy of this because that’s all we can do for the foreseeable future.”

Burrell was previously engaged to fellow chef Koren Grieveson in 2012.
