CBS broadcasters with ties to KC will call Chiefs’ game Sunday against Houston Texans

Chiefs fans will be in for a rare treat Sunday.

Because of the Chiefs’ success, their games are most often called by the top network broadcast teams. On CBS, that means Jim Nantz and Tony Romo.

But this weekend’s Chiefs-Texans game in Houston will be worked by CBS Sports’ No. 3 team: Kevin Harlan and Trent Green.

Both have deep ties to the Chiefs. Harlan graduated from the University of Kansas and was the Chiefs’ radio voice from 1985-’93. Green was the Chiefs starting quarterback from 2001-’06.

Although it’s a noon kickoff Sunday on CBS (KCTV-5), a wide portion of the country will see the game. Here is the broadcast map from 506Sports.com.
