Cat Cafe's 'Cat of the Month' Is an Adoptable Back-Sleeper Who's Unfazed by Anything

There are so many reasons to love spending time with cats, from their occasional sandpaper kisses to their calming purring sounds. Even cats with attitude are incredibly entertaining!

I can see why people like spending time with feline friends, even if they can't have any cats themselves. That's why cat cafes have become more and more popular in recent years, though most cat cafes also double as a group home for adoptable kitties.

NEKO Cat Cafe has two locations in Washington--Seattle and Bellingham--though one Bellingham resident has been gaining lots of TikTok attention recently. Ringo is well-known and well-loved by everyone who visits the cat cafe, but that's only one reason why he was chosen as March's 'Cat of the Month.' Take a look!

Aww--Congratulaitons, Ringo! This is the purr-fect opportunity to celebrate one of the cat cafe's permanent rescue cats and all of the unconditional love he provides. In case you couldn't tell by his group of devotees bowing at his feet, this 'skrunkly king' is the true ruler of the roost at NEKO Cat Cafe.

Because Ringo, who has been a resident since 2020, is a permanent resident of the cat cafe, he'll always be there for visitors to play with and love on. He's also a great sleeper, so he'll be taking plenty of naps, but nothing will beat the sight of him sound asleep on his back. In fact, that's the image that inspired the Ringo pin selling in the cat cafe!

While this two-year-old Domestic Shorthair cat may not be up for adoption, he's not going to be leaving the cat cafe anytime soon. He simply needed a little more love to help him come out of his shell, but now he's loving his life as one of their rescue partners.

What Is a Cat Cafe?

This cat cafe's cat of the month has captured a lot of attention since the ordeal, especially online. But Ringo's story is just one of the happy endings that cat cafes make possible. These indoor cafes can provide rescue pets with a safe and warm place to sleep and spend the day. Cat cafes are part of the cat rescue system, and they even have the potential to take some stress off municipal animal shelters and humane societies.

Plus, cat cafes are the perfect places to combine your love for pets with delicious food and drinks! Some people visit cat cafes only to see the four-legged residents (and why not? Spending time with pets can increase pet owners' happiness!), but others love that they can sit for a while and sip a coffee. I'm sure Cat of the Month Ringo will agree--there's no one right answer!
