Cast your vote for the Cheboygan Daily Tribune's Athlete of the Week for April 5-13

CHEBOYGAN – It’s time to vote for the Cheboygan Daily Tribune’s Athlete of the Week.

Each week, Cheboygan area high school athletes will be eligible for the Athlete of the Week honor. Athlete of the Week polls go live on Tuesday morning and voting closes at 11 p.m. on Thursday night. The athlete of the week will be announced on Friday.

Here’s a look at this week’s nominees:

Sean Postula, Cheboygan Baseball – Hit a grand slam against Harbor Springs and smacked a two-run homer against East Jordan.

Marley Couture, Cheboygan Softball – Went 5-for-5 with three RBIs and three runs scored at East Jordan.

Braylon Currie, Mackinaw City Baseball – Finished 2-for-3 with 2 RBIs and a run scored against Alanson.

Maggie Grant, Inland Lakes Softball – Hit a grand slam and picked up a pitching victory over Onaway.

Cole Selke, Onaway Baseball – Had a game-tying hit against Inland Lakes in game two and struck out five Bulldogs in game one.

Jack Schmalzried, Pellston Baseball – Struck out 11 batters in a pitching start against Johannesburg-Lewiston.
