The CMT Music Awards headed to Texas for the first time ever, and it's safe to say Carrie Underwood took the Lone Star State by storm. The country music superstar was a nominee and presenter, and she took the stage to perform her hit "I Hate My Heart." But first, she left a major impression on the red carpet in a sequins-covered outfit.

Carrie posed on the red carpet in a Swarovski crystal-encrusted top with matching short shorts by Dolce & Gabbana. She paired the look with silver heels, lots of silver jewelry, and a messy ponytail. As usual, the star of the show was Carrie's super-fit legs.

The CMT Instagram feed shared a video from the red carpet with the caption, "Performer, presenter, nominee, and #CMTAwards carpet SHOWSTOPPER: @carrieunderwood! 🌟." Fans jumped to the comments section to share their thoughts on her look.

  • "Smoke show🔥 Stunning 💯 Classy❤️"

  • "With those LEGS!!!!! Hell No she shouldn’t wear pants EVER!!!!! 😂"

  • "Best. Legs. On. The. Planet."

  • "She looks 🔥"

  • "The Queen had arrived!!!"

Carrie is the most-awarded star in CMT Music Awards history. This year, she was nominated for two awards (Video of the Year and Female Video of the Year), but she went home empty-handed.

Carrie shared a promotional video from the event on her Instagram feed, and her fans sounded off in the comments with messages like, "Carrie’s performance was phenomenal, but she got robbed again. What’s wrong with the CMT and CMA?," "Carrie should have won this. Her talent beats any other nominee!! Love you Carrie💕💕," and "You deserved the win but once again CMT is rigged."

If you missed Carrie's performance, you can catch it and the whole awards show on Paramount+.
