Carolina Beach Music Festival: From tickets, bands and parking, here's what to know

The Pleasure Island Chamber of Commerce presents the Carolina Beach Music Festival. The festival, now in its 38th year, brings with it seeds of history that began eight decades. In the 1940s, just over the bridge from Carolina Beach, was the Seabreeze community. The Seabreeze community was known as the legendary and rightful birthplace of "beach music," according to the festival's website.

What's happening

The festival believes to be the "longest running beach music festival in the United States that is still held on the North Carolina coast." It will be held Saturday, June 1 on the Carolina Beach Boardwalk. Gates open at 10:30 a.m. Music is from 11 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Tickets are $35, available at Buy Tickets Here. Children 10 and under are free. The event is nonrefundable. The public can reserve a 10x10 personal tent space on a first-come, first-serve basis. To reserve a space, call 910-458-8434. Tent spaces are not available to vendors.

Where to park?

Parking is $6 an hour, $7 for premium lots that are closer to the beach or $25 a day. There is public parking and several town lots in the boardwalk area that attendees can park in. There are no parking accommodations for this event.
