Carli Lloyd is retired from soccer, but perhaps the United States women’s national team legend has her eyes set on another spot.

The former American striker went viral a couple of years ago, when she made a 50-plus yard kick during an Eagles practice.

Many speculated that Lloyd could have what it takes to kick in an NFL game. This week, Lloyd appeared on Barstool Sports’ Pardon My Take, revealing that she actually had some training camp offers.

“I mean, I can’t say that I’ve been kicking a lot of soccer balls or footballs currently. But the thing is, I know I can do it. You know, I know that I’ve broken down my soccer technique for my entire career. And it’s a little different, but it’s a little similar. So, it would be no different than to break down the technique for kicking, and that day was just merely for fun,” she said.

It would be fun to watch, that’s for sure.

“Mid season Dustin Hopkins is gonna miss a bunch of Chargers kicks as this is Charger tradition. Give this women a tryout!” one fan tweeted.

“Bears need a kicker,” another fan added.

The technique would likely have to change, though.

“I’m sorry, but you don’t get 5 steps in a game. You get 2,” one fan pointed out.

Should Carli Lloyd get a chance this summer?
