Carhartt has limited-edition shirt for NFL draft in Detroit: What it looks like

Carhartt is offering a limited-edition run of a T-shirt designed specifically for the 2024 NFL draft in Detroit.

It's available at its two stores in Detroit (5800 Cass Ave. and 441 W. Canfield St.).

The design was created via a contest with graduates from Detroit’s Pensole Lewis College of Business and Design. The winning design was submitted by Pensole Lewis College graduate and Detroit native, Matthew Holness, and features the Carhartt "C" logo and a blue automobile with a football license plate. Near the bottom is a pair of Carhartt gloves holding prominent industries in Detroit.

"Being from Detroit, I’ve worn Carhartt my whole life and was excited to have an opportunity to develop a design that showcases my pride in the city,” Holness said in a news release. “A highlight of the design is the Carhartt gloves representing the hardworking people of Detroit holding up the city. It also signifies family — as a lot of people saw their parents wearing Carhartt to work — and the importance of keeping your foundation strong.”

"With our roots in the city of Detroit for more than 135 years, Matthew’s design resonated with us by capturing how hardworking people can lift up a city,” Ben Ewy, vice president of global product design at Carhartt, said in the news release. “We were thrilled to continue our relationship with Pensole Lewis College, this time to shine the light on our local, hardworking artists who are making their own histories, just like the athletes who are selected during the draft. We’re proud to support Matthew and fellow local artists through initiatives that highlight their incredible work, especially at a time when Detroit will be in the national spotlight."
