Not only did the Arizona Cardinals fall short to the Green Bay Packers last Thursday, star quarterback Kyler Murray was seen limping off the field.

Over the weekend, FOX insider Jay Glazer said Murray is dealing with an injury that could linger for a week or two. While it’s possible that he can suit up this weekend, the latest update on his status isn’t encouraging.

Cardinals insider Darren Urban reported that Murray wasn’t spotted during the portion of practice that is open to the media.

The odds of Murray participating in Wednesday’s practice are slim. That means his participation in Thursday and Friday’s practice sessions will be telling.

Last Friday, Cardinals head coach Kliff Kingsbury was asked about Murray’s injury. He admit that Murray was sore following the Packers game.

“I know he was sore today,” Kingsbury said, via ESPN. “Hopefully, the next two or three days off will be good for him. We’ll see where he’s at next week.”

Murray, meanwhile, told reporters “I’m good.” Judging by the latest report, Murray isn’t at full strength right now.

If the Cardinals don’t have Murray this Sunday, that would be a huge blow to their offense. In eight games this season, Murray has 2,276 passing yards, 147 rushing yards and 20 total touchdowns.

The Cardinals will release Murray’s status for Week 9 on Friday.
