Cardinal Gibbons wrestling won a 1A district dual championship, defeating Delray Beach 71-6 and Coral Springs Charter 54-15.
The Chiefs advance to regionals, where they will host on Jan. 12 in Fort Lauderdale.
Gibbons wrestles Clewiston with the winner facing the winner of Coral Springs Charter and defending state champ Jensen Beach.

South Dade won another 3A district duals with Southwest the runner-up. Both advance to regionals.
Of note, South Dade beat Southwest in Round 7. Southwest beat Palmettto in Round 2. Palmetto beat Ferguson in Round 4.

In the finals, the host Lightning defeated Western 52-24. In the semifinals, Cypress Bay beat South Broward 64-18, and Western beat Cooper City 54-24.

Pines Charter played St. Thomas Aquinas to a scoreless draw in girls’ soccer. Lourdes is now 8-1-2 after two more wins. American Heritage-Plantation boys improved to 10-1, and Miami Beach is undefeated at 6-0.
