On Sunday night, Cara Delevingne attended the 2024 Olivier Awards—which honor excellence in professional theater in London—in a glittering custom Gucci gown that put a fresh spin on a classic color combo: red and blue. While Americans might associate those colors primarily with Fourth of July parties, this piece proved the pairing still has legs when the hues are tweaked a bit.

The Paper Towns star glimmered as she walked the red carpet, showing off the two-tone piece that had plenty of skin-baring moments to make us long for summer.

Up top, the square-necked spaghetti strap bodice was composed of tiny steel blue sequins that shimmered when the light hit them. This section was framed by black straps that followed the outline of the dress and crisscrossed across Delevingne’s stomach. One of these straps also continued around the model’s back, acting as the only disruption across the otherwise backless design.

As for the skirt, this section was composed of oxblood sequins that started off small at the waist and slowly morphed into large discs toward the bottom. The straight skirt featured a large slit going up the back, which was more visible when Delevingne was seen making her way up the steps into the Royal Albert concert hall. At this angle, we also got a better view of the Cabaret actor’s hair, which was styled into a long braid that fell down her backside.

For accessories, she kept things simple with a pair of diamond stud earrings and a singular silver ring. Meanwhile, she wore strappy black heels that winked to the criss-cross action happening up top on the design.
