Captain America: Brave New World Promo Art Reveals Sam Wilson’s New Suit

A new promo art for Captain America: Brave New World has revealed Anthony Mackie's new superhero suit for the film. The reveal comes via leaked art for Marvel and Funko's new Collector Corps box releasing in March.

Anthony Mackie is seen wearing a much brighter version of the Captain America suit he wore in the finale of The Falcon and The Winter Soldier. The new suit is reminiscent of the updated version of the classic suit that Chris Evan’s Steve Rogers wore in Avengers: Endgame. Of course, Sam Wilson’s suit in his Disney+ show also had Vibranium wings grafted on its sides, and that’s present in the new suit as well. The promo art also has Sam wielding the iconic Vibranium shield, which Sam finally accepted in the finale of his show.

Captain America: Brave New World was originally slated to release this year but Marvel Studios has delayed it to 2025, with a significant portion of the film being re-written and reshot. By delaying the film to next year, Marvel Studios has only one theatrical MCU project releasing in 2024 - Deadpool 3. It’s not the only project that has been delayed by Marvel, as the upcoming Daredevil: Born Again series is being reshot after a creative overhaul.

Disney has hired Matthew Orton to write additional scenes and retool the existing Captain America script. And before you ask, no, Chris Evans won't be returning to the franchise any time soon. The film will see many legacy MCU characters return like Thunderbolt Ross, now played by Harrison Ford. Rumours have pointed to the film featuring members of the Serpent Society, although we know that Tim Blade Nelson will return as The Leader (from The Incredible Hulk) as the primary antagonist of the film. Danny Ramirez will return as Joaquin Torres taking up the mantle of The Falcon in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, with Carl Lumbly also returning as Isaiah Bradley, another super-soldier, in the film.

Captain America: Brave New World, directed by Julius Onah, is scheduled to be released on February 14, 2025
