Cape Cod high school girls and boys basketball All-Star games are back on Cape Sunday
The Cape Cod High School All-Star game is back on Sunday, March 17 after four years away due to COVID-19. Created by Al Faria, the girls and boys basketball games were an annual event for 31 years.
What better way to spend St. Patrick's Day than to come and watch the best basketball players on Cape take the hardwood for the last time this season, and for some, the last time in their high school careers.
This game will feature MVPs, 1,000-point scorers, and a seventh grader.
Mike Dankert, Nate Reynolds and Leo Andrade of Bourne boys basketball will not play in the game on Sunday. Instead, they will be taking on Wareham in the Division 4 MIAA Championship at the Tsongas Center for a chance at their first state title in program history.
Both games will be held at the Hyannis Community Center with the girls playing at 1:15 p.m. and the boys at 3:15 p.m. There will also be games and prizes for fans.
