The Miami Hurricanes just got their second “large” commitment in two days for the Class of 2023 — this time large as in 6-6, 330 pounds.

Three-star offensive lineman Tommy Kinsler, who decommitted from the Florida Gators on July 2 on the heels of his official visit to the University of Miami the previous weekend, chose Miami over the Gators and Florida State on Thursday night. Kinsler plays for Trinity Catholic in Ocala.

“Gods plan 305 let’s go,’’ Kinsler posted on Twitter, accompanied by an emoji of hands throwing up the “U” above a graphic of his photos.

On Wednesday, the Canes got a pledge from four-star linebacker Malik Bryant, rated the No. 1 linebacker in the nation by Rivals.com and the No. 4 by 247Sports and considered one of the most important commitments they’ve received yet.

Miami coach Mario Cristobal’s recruiting prowess is on fire, as eight four- or five-star players have committed to the Class of 2023 in the past month — quarterback Jaden Rashada, wide receiver Nathaniel Joseph, tight end Riley Williams, offensive tackle Francis Mauigoa, edge rusher Jayden Wayne, linebacker Raul Aguirre, athlete Robert Stafford and Bryant.

Kinsler, who said he would make his announcement during his mom’s birthday dinner, is rated 66th best at his position in the 247Sports composite rankings and the 57th best offensive tackle by On3.com. Rivals has him as a three-star tackle without a national ranking, but he could play inside for the Canes.

Kinsler said after he decommitted from the Gators that he had made his initial commitment decision prematurely but had not ruled Florida out. His first commitment came on June 19 after his official visit to UF.

Miami now has 16 commitments for 2023, including four offensive linemen. Before Kinsler’s pledge on Thursday, UM’s 2023 class was ranked No. 5 by On3, No 8 by 247Sports and No. 10 by Rivals.
