It's not the holiday season without at least one Christmas movie starring Candace Cameron Bure on the lineup. She knocks it out of the park with her upcoming Great American Family movie, My Christmas Hero, where she takes on the role of orthopedic medicine and serves in the Army Reserves.

What is My Christmas Hero about?

In My Christmas Hero, U.S. Army reservist and orthopedic physician, Nicole Ramsey (Bure) is dedicated to serving military service members and their families at the Joint Military Base in Lacey, Washington. This Christmas, with the help of many dedicated heroes, Dr. Ramsey is on a mission to honor a special fallen soldier and bring much-needed healing to her own family.

Where was My Christmas Hero filmed?

My Christmas Hero was filmed on location in Tacoma, Washington at Joint Base Lewis-McChord. The joint base consists of Fort Lewis and the McChord Air Force Base and is home to the I Corps and 62nd Airlift Wing. Great American Family held the movie's red carpet premiere at the base for servicemen and women and their families. Stars Candace Cameron Bure and Gabriel Hogan attended the premiere screening.

Since signing an overall deal with Great American Family, Bure has taken on the role of chief creative officer for the network, helping to curate content for GAF. She starred in last year's A Christmas... Present. This year, her daughter Natasha Bure stars in A Christmas for the Ages on Great American Family. Both films premiere on Thanksgiving weekend.

Gabriel Hogan (Daniel)

Gabriel Hogan is best known for his role as Peter Morris on Canada's longest-running series to date, Heartland. Hogan comes from an acting family as both his parents and his sister are well known actors. His father, Michael Hogan, played Col. Saul Tigh in the Battlestar Galactica series. His wife, Inga Cadranel, is also well-known in Canadian acting circles.
