Cancer Services of Gaston County held its annual fundraiser, Faces of Hope, in April at the Gaston Country Club. The theme for the evening was A Splash of HOPE Goes a Long Way,and guests were asked to wear a splash of purple.

The event included dinner, a silent auction, live auction, “Champagne Game” sponsored by Facet Foundry Jewelers, Belize Destination Raffle, and dancing with music by Caleb Davis.

Cancer Services’ Board President, Dr. Jerome Butler, was the master of ceremonies. Guest auctioneer for the live auction was WCNC’s Larry Sprinkle. With Butler’s help, Sprinkle auctioned off trips to Kenya, France, and the Dominican Republic helping Cancer Services raise a record $187,000 to help Gaston County individuals and families living with cancer.

Since 1977, Cancer Services of Gaston County has been a resource, providing programs and services free of charge to individuals and families living with, through and beyond cancer.
