I always keep a handful of meal starters in stock, even if I have specific dinners planned. It’s usually a box of macaroni and cheese, these frozen chicken bites that my family is obsessed with, and various jars of sauce. While I do enjoy making batches of homemade pasta sauce, sometimes plans change unexpectedly.

Having a store-bought jar of sauce can save so much time, whether you’re whipping up a quick batch of Instant Pot spaghetti or making a melty meatball sandwich. Rao's is one of my go-to's when it comes to tomato sauce. Just last year, it was acquired by Campbell’s, which is already adding exciting flavors to its lineup.

Now, another one of Campbell Soup Company's most popular brands has new flavors hitting shelves, and these go beyond just the typical pasta sauce.

Prego Introduces 3 New Creamy Pesto Sauces

The new Prego Creamy Pesto Sauces are a white cream-based sauce mixed with fresh basil pesto. According to a recent press release, the brand believes these sauces are crafted for versatility and can inspire new meal ideas.

The sauce line comes in three varieties: Creamy Basil Pesto, Creamy Parmesan Pesto, and Creamy Roasted Garlic Pesto. While similar, each sauce offers a unique blend of cheese and herbs. Any of the sauces can easily be incorporated as a flavorful alternative to white sauce in a variety of dishes. They can be used on pizza, poured over veggies, added to hot spinach dip, or used as a sauce in a ham and cheese pocket. Of course, they're also perfect for a quick pasta night, tossed with the shape of your choice.

You can snag all three Creamy Pesto Sauces at retailers nationwide, where a 14.5-ounce jar will retail for $2.82 each.
