Camilla Is Set to Appear on an Episode of BBC's Antiques Roadshow

Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall, took a trip to Cornwall to visit BBC's Antiques Roadshow.

Like many participants in Antiques Roadshow, Camilla brought her own items from her private collection to be valued by experts. The objects the Duchess brought have yet to be revealed, however; they will air next year on the TV show. She was filmed discussing objects with book and manuscripts expert Justin Croft and silver specialist Duncan Campbell, according to Cornwall Live.

"I think the Duchess has really enjoyed visiting the Roadshow. She was such a good sport and talked to many of our visitors here, the crew and our specialists," host Fiona Bruce shared. "She brought along a couple of items, and our book specialist and silver specialist talked her through them. So, I would say she had the full roadshow experience—this is the last programme we're filming this year and what a wonderful way to end with such a special guest."

Camilla took part in the "Guess the Mystery Object" game with Geoffrey Munn, another specialist. She also met with Cornwall residents Amanda Fishlock and her 16-year-old son, Dylan Kilpatrick, who had brought a painting by their ancestor to be evaluated. The 19th century piece, by artist Robert Ponsonby Staples, shows a family at the seaside. Kilpatrick told The Mirror Camilla gave him her opinion of the painting, sharing the Duchess "said she was jealous, she said she really liked the figure in the foreground.

"She was really interested in what we had to show," Frances Christie, a specialist on the show, told the BBC."She said she was a huge fan of the show and she asked lots of questions about the pictures we were looking at."

Antiques Roadshow is currently filming its 45th series, and Camilla's episode is expected to air sometime in 2023.
