Cam Newton Trending For Wrong Reasons: NFL Fans React

During a recent appearance on the “Million Dollaz Worth of Game” podcast, NFL QB Cam Newton shared some of his perspective on what he believes the role of a woman should be.

Newton explained his upbringing in a three-parent household with his mother, father and grandmother. It’s there where he learned what a “woman” was. And according to the Panthers icon, it’s not what a lot of ladies out there are bringing to the table.

“Now a women for me is, handling your own but knowing how to cater to a man’s needs,” Newton said. “And I think a lot of times when you get that ascetic of ‘I’m a boss bitch, Imma this, Imma that.’ No baby! But you can’t cook. You don’t know when to be quiet! You don’t know how to allow a man to lead.”

The former MVP’s comments didn’t go over the best on social media.

“Oof,” replied Jon Nicosia.

“Cam Newton is someone else’s problem,” one user said.

“Cam has nerve ..” another tweeted.

“This was an excellent job by the host asking the key follow up question and then getting out of the way while Newton rambles with his philosophy,’” commented Jimmy Traina.

“Guess Cam Newton is not my soulmate,” another user said.

“If you thought Cam’s outfits were a bad look, just wait until he opens his mouth.”

“This bro,” commented NFL Network’s Jane Slater.

“Public life for him outside the NFL is going to be really rough,” replied a Bears writer.
