When Calls the Heart Renewed for Season 12

It’s time to party, Hearties.

Barely a month into its Season 11 run, Hallmark Channel’s longest-running original series, When Calls the Heart, has already been renewed for Season 12, TVLine has learned.

The 12-episode Season 12 will begin production in July and “continue with themes about family, community, and of course romance as we move further into the 1920s.”

When Calls the Heart continues to exceed our expectations and the number of fans and viewers continue to grow every year,” Hallmark programming EVP Lisa Hamilton Daly said in a statement. “Bringing Season 12 to life is a huge milestone and is a true testament to the cast and crew’s hard work and dedication throughout the last decade. We cannot wait for Hope Valley’s next chapter full of exciting characters and storytelling!”

When Calls the Heart continues Season 11 this Sunday with Episode 6, “Believe,” in which Elizabeth (played by Erin Krakow) confronts an imposing figure from her past; Rosemary (Pascale Hutton) helps Lee (Kavan Smith) navigate a new leadership role; and Lucas (Chris McNally) struggles to find bidders for his resort project.

Per Hallmark, When Calls the Heart Season 11 is currently ranking as cable’s most-watched entertainment program this year to-date among total viewers (averaging 2.5 million) and Women 18+.
