California Dreams Reunite for 30th Anniversary Concert in NYC (Photos)

Don’t wake us up if we’re dreaming. Three decades after surfing their way into America’s hearts, the cast of California Dreams is getting the band back together, this time trading the beach for the Big Apple.

Many of the sitcom’s original stars — Brentley Gore (Matt), Kelly Packard (Tiffani), William James Jones (Tony), Michael Cade (Sly), Jay Anthony Franke (Jake), Jennie Kwan (Sam), Aaron Jackson (Mark) and Diana Uribe (Lorena) — reunited in New York City on Friday for ’90s Dreams Fan Fest, celebrating 30 years of good vibrations and feeling mellow.

Franke Instagrammed several nostalgia-inducing shots of the big reunion on Thursday night, writing, “Reunited & it feels so good! We are working hard preparing for tomorrow’s show.” See his post in full below:

For the tragically uninitiated, California Dreams chronicled the many misadventures of a high-school garage band — named, you guessed it, California Dreams — airing for five seasons (1992–1996) as part of NBC’s teen-focused TNBC block of programming.

Jimmy Fallon previously reunited the Dreams for a special Tonight Show segment in 2014, though Jackson was unable to join his former bandmates at the time. Check that out in full below:

Footage of the Dreams’ latest reunion performance will be added when it becomes available. In the meantime, drop a comment with your fond memories of the band below.
