The Caldwell Police Department said a neighborhood has been cleared after a “small incendiary device” was found in a home.

The device was located in a home near the 200 block of Walnut Street in Caldwell, near the intersection of West Linden Street and South Kimball Avenue, according to a Facebook post.

Sometime before 4:30 p.m., the department updated its Facebook post stating that the “scene is now clear.”

Police said that some nearby homes were evacuated, and that the Nampa Police Department’s bomb squad was at the scene.

The Idaho Statesman has reached out to the Caldwell Police Department for additional information.
