Buddy Valastro is taking a huge step: shutting down one location of his famed bakery that he has worked in for nearly three decades.

The Cake Boss star is reportedly closing Carlo's Bake Shop, his brick-and-mortar sweets retailer in Santa Monica, Calif. He has been with the chain since he was 17 years old.

The hit TLC reality series originally aired from 2009 to 2020, and showcased the Valastro family's famous bakery that created a slew of mind-blowing desserts. The show inspired four spin-offs: Next Great Baker, Kitchen Boss, Bake You Rich and Bakery Boss.

Now 46, the TV personality has set his sights on switching from in-person to digital, as the West Coast-based spot will still accept online orders, according to a report via Starcasm.

The shutdown has apparently already begun, with signage on the shop's front door reportedly announcing a public auction of the store's equipment. Additionally, Google lists the location as "Permanently Closed."

For those who are fans of the company's delectables, though, or who have yet to try them out and want the opportunity to do so—no need to fret! Carlo's Bake Shop has other locations across the U.S., including in his home state of New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, Nevada, Florida, Texas and Minnesota.

Carlo's cake vending machines can also be found inside other vendors, namely casinos, malls and rest areas.

On a more jolly holiday note, Valastro is starring in upcoming Lifetime original movie, Yes, Chef! Christmas, alongside Tia Mowry and Luke Humphrey. The flick premieres on Sunday, Dec. 10, at 8 p.m. ET.
