Caitriona Balfe Stuns in a Bold Deep V-Neck Dress and Fans Say She Looks "Exquisite"

For almost a decade, fans have known Caitriona Balfe to switch between 18th-century and 20th-century costumes for her character on Outlander. But with season 7 finally out now, folks also know the actress to look fabulous in modern-day clothing as well.

Back in February 2022, the actress attended the 28th annual Screen Actors Guild (SAG) Awards as she was nominated for her role in Belfast. Instead of wearing the period pieces she often dons on the set of the Starz drama, Caitriona ditched them for a red gown made by Yves Saint Laurent. The actual silhouette of the dress was simple with long sleeves that hit just above the wrist and structured shoulders.

But the true highlight of Caitriona's red carpet attire was the deep V-neckline that plunged down toward her waist. What's more, the skirt of the ensemble also had a matching slit down the middle. It added a sexy feel to the otherwise classic look, which the Irish actress spiced up with equally alluring accents.

To amp up the simplicity of the gown, Caitriona wore a bold diamond necklace, bracelets and a ring as a touch of sparkle. The Ford v Ferrari actress slipped on a pair of black heeled sandals for a juxtaposition of color.

Her brunette hair was slicked back into a chic bun. She pulled everything together by putting on black eyeliner, rosy cheeks and a red lipstick that was a similar hue to her outfit.

When fans saw Caitriona posted highlights from the night on Instagram, they immediately started sharing their thoughts about it. "Exquisite ❤️," one person wrote in the comments section. "You look beautiful in anything but especially red ❤️🔥," another raved. "Queen of the night. 🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌," a different follower declared.

While it's highly unlikely to see the 43 year old wear something like this on Outlander, she just proved that she has timeline style off camera.
