Caitlin Clark is a guest on Sue Bird's 'Sue's Places.' Here's what to expect.

Sue Bird's surprise appearance at an Iowa women's basketball game in December is no longer a mystery.

Iowa guard Caitlin Clark will join Bird for an episode of "Sue's Places" on Wednesday, Feb. 14.

Bird interviewed Clark at Carver-Hawkeye Arena for the third installment of her ESPN+ show to discuss the superstar’s limitless range, the influence of Maya Moore and Steph Curry and more.

The Clark-centric episode will be available for ESPN+ streaming on Wednesday.

Bird, a two-time NCAA champion at UConn and four-time WNBA champion with the Seattle Storm, is exploring basketball’s past through its legends and present stars.

Bird hosts 10-part docuseries

Bird has already visited her alma mater to speak with her former coach, Geno Auriemma — who recently surpassed 1,200 wins, the third most in NCAA history — and current players Huskies players like Paige Bueckers.

Bird is scheduled to film several other episodes of "Sue's Places," with the finale airing on April 3, just a few days before the women's NCAA Final Four in Cleveland, April 5-7.

In Wednesday's installment, Bird explores the origins of the 3-pointer in the college game and the changes players and the line itself have gone through over the past four decades.

Clark often makes highlight reels for the raw distance of some of her shots and even admits to Bird that sometimes she doesn’t even realize how far away from the hoop she is until she watches the film. This season, Clark is shooting 39.3% on 13.3 three-point attempts per game.

The decorated former BYU guard and NBA player Jimmer Fredette also joined Bird and Clark for a bit of banter, highlighted by a 3-point contest.

Fredette was named the National Player of the Year in the men’s college game in 2011. He led BYU to the Sweet Sixteen during March Madness in a year when he averaged 28.9 points per game and shot nearly 40% from beyond the arc.

Fredette’s prolific scoring ability sparked “Jimmer-mania,” the same way that Clark’s sometimes seemingly unlimited scoring prowess has brought fans out in drovesboth at home and on the road — to see the Hawkeyes play.

Fredette and Clark each took three shots from deep.

Bird, Sudeikis surprise Hawkeye fans

Sue Bird and Hollywood actor Jason Sudeikis were spotted courtside at Carver-Hawkeye Arena for a December women's basketball game, which set the state ablaze with rumors. Sudeikis was the star of Sue's Places' second episode, in which the duo met with Kanas legend Danny Manning and long-time head coach Bill Self.

Sudeikis was seen at the December game against Bowling Green doing a dance that became popular on his television show, Ted Lasso. The dance drew enthusiastic cheers from the sellout crowd. Iowa won the contest, 99-65, led by Clark's game-high 24 points and 11 assists.

Clark is now just eight points shy of breaking the NCAA women’s basketball scoring record currently held by Kelsey Plum. The fourth-ranked Hawkeyes take on Michigan at Carver-Hawkeye Arena on Thursday at 7 p.m., looking to avenge a heartbreaking loss to Nebraska.
