During the course of her 70-year reign, Queen Elizabeth II’s preference for Land Rover vehicles became a royal fixture. Her Majesty maintained a fleet of Defenders and Range Rovers for official use, many of which were featured at this year’s Goodwood Revival in honor of her passing. Thanks to the folks at Iconic Auctioneers, one monarchy fan will get a chance to take home a 2004 Range Rover owned and driven by the Queen herself.

According to Iconic Auctioneers, this third-generation Range Rover was supplied to the royal family by Land Rover Special Vehicle Operations under contract 34319. The order naturally included some custom touches, including a modified grill for blue lights, a hidden control panel for said lights, as well as dual rear window switch panels, and an extra rear grab handle for graceful entry. Other options include a rear dog guard, seat covers front and rear, and some side steps to help hoist yourself into the truck. The Epsom green exterior and Sand Hide interior combination is a time-tested spec, and still presents well after nearly two decades. The truck itself has seen some regular use over that time, with 109,675 miles on the 4.4-liter BMW-sourced V-8 engine. While the Queen was surely not responsible for all of those trips, there is video footage of the ruler driving this particular example available for interested buyers.

This piece of royal family automobilia is slated to cross the auction block at the NEC Classic Motor Show Sale on November 11 in Birmingham. As you might expect, Iconic Auctioneers believes that this 4x4 will carry a significant premium over similar Range Rovers, with current sale estimates sitting between $60,000 to $70,000. While that’s surely a lot of scratch for an aging British SUV, your chances of scoring another one of the Queen’s personal rides aren’t great. We don’t expect to see this particular unit on the hills in the Lake District in the future.
