The town of Braintree’s second Burlington Store location, and Massachusetts’ 23rd store, is set to open Friday, offering customers chances to score a $10 gift card and a free umbrella during the first few opening days.

The new location of the discount retailer, 400 Grossman Drive, will open Friday, Nov. 17. After a ribbon-cutting ceremony, the first 100 customers above the age of 18 will receive a $10 gift card. The first 100 customers on Saturday, Nov. 18, will also receive a gift card. On Sunday, Nov. 19, customers don’t need to purchase anything to receive a free Burlington umbrella, while supplies last.

The Grossman Drive store's hours are Sunday through Thursday, 8 a.m. to 11 p.m., and Friday and Saturday, 8 a.m. to midnight. This location is roughly 2 miles east of Braintree’s other Burlington site on Granite Street.

“Our goal is to continue to offer communities low prices on brand name merchandise for the entire family and home,” Burlington Stores CEO Michael O’Sullivan said in a news release. “We’re continuing to expand our footprint across the country and are excited to be opening a new store in Braintree. We look forward to giving local customers the chance to discover big savings on a wide range of products.”

The chain offers brand-name selections of clothing, shoes, baby items and more. The latest location is opening in the former Bed Bath & Beyond at The Marketplace at Braintree. Bed Bath & Beyond closed its brick-and-mortar locations after filing for bankruptcy and was acquired by Overstock.com. The company name is still used online.

During the ribbon-cutting ceremony, Burlington Stores will also donate $5,000 to a local high school through the national nonprofit organization AdoptAClassroom.org. The new Burlington store in Braintree is hiring 65 associates for full- and part-time positions. To apply, visit BurlingtonStores.jobs.
