Bulldog’s ‘Anger Issues’ Over New Toy Are an Absolute Riot
Some dogs like water and some do not, and I can't tell if Eggnog, the English Bulldog in this video, likes it or not! Eggnog's humans shared the video at the end of August, just as summer is starting to wrap up. It shows Eggnog playing with a new water toy, and you can be the judge of whether or not she likes it or hates it!
Eggnog's human wrote across the video that they didn't know that Eggnog had anger issues until they gave her the water toy. It shows her beating on it with her paws and biting at the water. I don't know if she likes it and is trying to keep the water coming out of it, or if she wants it to stop!
What do you think? Is Eggnog a fan or not? Commenters were divided on what the English Bulldog was trying to accomplish. @Allen thinks that Eggnog was, "Trying to figure out how to turn it off." and @Joe added, "Eggnog always looks good even when having a meltdown. Go Eggnog!" @Jamie Cope thought Eggnog liked it and shared, "Check out my video of my bulldog. So obsessed with water that where the spicket is he’s pulled the siding off my house. That’s when you need to worry!"

Do English Bulldogs Like Water?
While English Bulldogs may not be natural swimmers, most of them do enjoy splashing around in water. Bulldogs have big heads, heavy torsos, and short legs that make them sink in water. They also have breathing issues which can be a problem in the water. They can't swim in deep water on their own, but with training and a lifejacket it is possible for them to learn to swim successfully.
There are other ways to play with bulldogs, or any dog breed, if you don't have a dog that enjoys swimming put loves the water. Playing in water offers a whole slew of options. My dog (she's an adorable mutt but has a lot of Pit Bull in her) should love swimming, but she does not. Throw a kiddie pool in the yard or turn on the hose and she can't get enough!
If you have room for a kiddie pool, definitely get one. You can play so many games in just a small pool of water. Try playing catch with your dog in the water. Throw them a ball or a favorite toy for them to catch (or fetch.) If they miss it, they can 'dive' for it and fish it out themselves. Or throw any toy that sinks in and let them fetch it. It might take a few tries, but the happy look on their face when they finish bobbing for toys is worth it! Tug of War is also a water favorite; let your dog stand in the water and try to tug you in (or vice versa!)
If you don't have a pool, have them chase the hose or run through the sprinklers. My dog loves biting the water. Another fan favorite here is filling up a big bowl with water and throwing frozen fruits, veggies, and ice cubes in it. This is definitely an outdoor activity because they make a mess trying to get it all out, but they have a blast doing it!
