Buffalo Bills Announce A New Stadium Fan Policy

The Buffalo Bills have released a new vaccine mandate for fans attending games at Highmark Stadium this season.

On Tuesday, the Bills and Erie County announced that all fans over the age of 12 will have to show proof of vaccination in order to attend home games in Buffalo. The Bills are operating “in compliance” with the county, who own the stadium.

For the team’s next two home games, fans will have to show proof of at least one round of vaccination. After that, full vaccination will be required for entry.

Unvaccinated fans under the age of 12 will have to wear a mask at all times. Vaccinated fans will no longer be required to wear a mask in the stadium.

Season ticket holders who do not plan to get vaccinated have until the end of the week to inform the team and receive a refund.

This decision was a huge move for a franchise that’s struggled to get its players vaccinated ahead of the 2021-22 season.

In late August, the Bills had one of the lowest player vaccination rates in the NFL. General manager Brandon Beane and head coach Sean McDermott have both openly expressed their frustrations with players who refuse to get the vaccine.

Under NFL rules, the Bills (or any other team) cannot force their players to receive the vaccine. But with this mandate, the “Bills Mafia” are under pressure to get their shots if they want to watch their beloved team in person.
