The Budweiser Clydesdales are coming to Zanesville July 16-21

ZANESVILLE − More than a year ago, Matesich Distributing put in a request for the Budweiser Clydesdales to come to Zanesville. Recently, the business got its wish. The Budweiser Clydesdales will come to Zanesville July 16-21 and be housed at the Muskingum County Fairgrounds.“We made tentative plans just in case (they said yes),” said Kelly Jones, Matesich’s director of marketing and community engagement, who added that requesting the Clydesdales is a competitive process. “They don’t always say yes. It’s based on need. I was able to put in our application that we did have the city of Zanesville behind us, and it was going to be military-branded.”Jones said Budweiser’s 14-year partnership with Folds of Honor, an organization that supports military families through scholarships and other financial needs, dovetails perfectly with Matesich’s and the city of Zanesville’s dedication to military veterans and active-duty personnel.

The iconic Budweiser Clydesdale horses will be in Zanesville July 16-21. Matesich Distributing Co. requested the horses and is working with the city of Zanesville and Muskingum County to plan a weeklong series of activities under the theme of Military Appreciation Week honoring veterans, active duty personnel, and first responders.
