Meterologist Jeff Haby said when temperatures drop below freezing and the temperature reaches the dew or frost point, the ice on the ground is termed frost or frozen dew.

Bucks County has been flirting with the frost point in recent mornings, and the trend will only continue as fall temperatures continue to drop.

The National Weather Service took to X, the social media platform formerly known as Twitter, to warn residents of the first freeze-like conditions this season.

"Before you head out the door this morning, may want to take a second to look for hats, gloves, and coats as many of us are waking up to our first freeze since spring," it wrote.
