Buckingham Palace won’t release report on investigation into Meghan Markle’s alleged bullying

The British royals are keeping their lips zipped on whether or not Meghan Markle bullied palace staff.

The private company hired to look into the rumors has finished its investigation, Michael Stevens, the official in charge of the Crown’s finances, confirmed Wednesday, but the results will not be made public, he said.

“I can confirm though that it was a review of the handling of the allegations aimed at enabling the royal households to consider potential improvements to HR policies and procedures,” he said during an unrelated press conference, according to CNN. “The review has been completed and recommendations on our policies and procedures have been taken forward, but we will not be commenting further.”

As Meghan and husband Prince Harry were in the middle of an ugly breakup with Buckingham Palace, unnamed sources told the Times of London that the former actress had driven out two personal assistants in tears during her time at Kensington Palace.

Meghan called the allegations an “attack on her character, particularly as someone who has been the target of bullying herself and is deeply committed to supporting those who have experienced pain and trauma.” And a spokesperson for the couple, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, dismissed it as “a calculated smear campaign.”

Days later, her bombshell interview with Oprah Winfrey aired, full of allegations of racism inside the palace and postpartum depression she wasn’t allowed to treat.
