Browns pick South Dakota's Myles Harden at No. 227 of NFL draft 2024. Our scouting report

BEREA — The Cleveland Browns drafted South Dakota cornerback Myles Harden with the 227th pick of the 2024 NFL draft. Harden, a 5-foot-11 prospect who spent four years with the Coyotes, was the 34th cornerback off the board. Here's what Browns fans need to know about Harden and our instant analysis of the pick.

Myles Harden scouting report

Harden has been a quality performer at the FCS Division I level. That is, when he's been healthy and able to play. Harden broke his fibula as a sophomore and missed six games, then missed five games as a junior in 2022 due to a foot injury. Still, when he has been on the field, he played at an All-American level. Where Harden's skillset is going to benefit him the most is on special teams, where his aggressiveness can be an asset instead of a liability as it could be at times at cornerback.

Myles Harden stats, highlights

Harden played 16 combined games over his first season, a number impacted by the COVID-shortened 2020-21 season and season-ending injuries in 2021 and 2022. He was still a starter from the first day, and played a full 13-game season last year. Harden earned FCS All-American third-team honors last season, when he had four tackles for loss, one interception, six pass break-ups and a fumble recovery. He had six career picks, including three in 2022.

Myles Harden height, weight

Harden measured in at 5-foot-11, 195 pounds during February's NFL combine.
