Brown County Sheriff's Office asks residents to check their surveillance system for signs of missing woman

GREEN BAY - The Brown County Sheriff's Office is asking area residents who live near the East River to review their home surveillance systems as they continue their search for a missing person.

Ivonne Benitez, 22, of Bellevue, was last heard from around 11:30 p.m. Friday, April 12. The Hispanic woman is described as 5 feet, 3 inches tall, about 139 pounds with black hair and brown eyes.

The sheriff's office said Friday afternoon that it believed that Benitez was in the Green Bay and Allouez area between 11:30 p.m. April 12 and 6 p.m. April 13. The request for a surveillance check during that timespan is roughly the area from East High School in Green Bay to Allouez Village Hall on the west side of the East River and, on the east side of the river, from about Schreiber Foods south to Bellevue Bethel Park.

Anyone with any information is asked to call Sgt. Kyle Von Loh at 920-448-6216 or email kyle.vonloh@browncountywi.gov.
